The Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone construction ushered in a good start in the New Year. On January 7, the first group of 72 companies in 2021 signed contracts to settle in the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion Innovation Demonstration Park in the zone. The one-stop full-process agency service center for the China-Africa Advanced Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone was officially unveiled. Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang attended the signing ceremony.

The 72 enterprises are expected to achieve the China-Africa import and export trade volume of 2 billion USD, or 12.9 billion CNY, in 2021.

The settled companies include:
-Key platforms such as the China-Africa Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Service Platform and the China-Africa Economic and Trade Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base;
-Financial supply chain companies such as the Hunan SMIC Supply Chain Company and the Hunan Caisheng Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.;
-Major trade enterprises such as the Hunan Construction Engineering Group Hunan Overseas Construction Development Co., Ltd. and the Friendship & Apollo Barter Trade Sales and Settlement Company; and,
-China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Research Association comprehensive service institutions, including the station centers, legal centers, and the China-Africa Student Incubation Center.

More than 10 chambers of commerce and associations have also been introduced into the demonstration park, including the Home of Overseas Chinese, the Angola Chamber of Commerce in China (Hunan), the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce in Hunan, and the South Africa Chamber of Commerce in Hunan.

The one-stop full-process agency service center of the China-Africa Advanced Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone was inaugurated. It innovatively established five standardized service processes including reception consultation, acceptance of entrustment, tracking and handling, coordination and linkage, and situation feedback, providing investors with 16 one-stop butler services such as commercial registration and foreign trade services. This aimed to build the China-Africa Advanced Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone a unique window for “Hunan Products Go Overseas”.
