During the 24 hours of January 5, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 10 people under medical observation (imported cases).
 
A total of 29,481 close contacts have been traced, among whom 279 were under medical observation while 29,202 others have been discharged.
