As of 24:00 on January 1, a total of 1,021 cumulative confirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, 1,016 patients had been discharged from hospitals, and there is currently one patient hospitalized (imported case).
 
During the 24 hours of January 1, there were three new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan (imported cases). There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 9 people under medical observation (imported cases).
 
A total of 29,442 close contacts have been traced, among whom 248 were under medical observation while 29,194 others have been discharged.
