As of 24:00 on December 29, a total of 1,021 cumulative confirmed cases had been reported in Hunan, 4 people had died, 1,016 patients had been discharged from hospitals, and there is currently one patient hospitalized  (imported case).
 
During the 24 hours of December 29, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 4 people under medical observation (imported cases).
 
A total of 29,313 close contacts have been traced, among whom 178 were under medical observation while 29,135 others have been discharged.
