China Yandi Shennong Cultural Innovation and Creativity Design Award Presented

Emper Yandi, also named Shennong, is honored as an ancestor of the Chinese nation. The award ceremony of the China Yandi Shennong Cultural Innovation and Creativity Design Competition , and also an achievement exhibition, was held in Changsha on December 19, 2020. 

Long Mingbiao, deputy director of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and He Baoxiang, vice governor of Hunan Province, attended and presented prizes to the winners.

The theme was “respecting Chinese ancestors, and promoting Emperor Yandi culture”. The event invited cultural and creative works globally, in a bid to intensify sense of the Chinese national identity and boost development of Yandi Shennong cultural and creative industry.

Launched in June, the competition has recruited 5,286 works submitted by Chinese people and cultural and creative personnel in more than 10 countries and regions, such as Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, as well as U.S.A, Canada, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Germany. Among these, 1,358 works were submitted by Taiwan compatriots, accounting for 25.69% of the total.

Thirty-four brilliant works were awarded finally, including one best design of worship ceremony logo; one gold, two silver, and three bronze prizes of IP image and promotion design; and, one gold, two silver, and three bronze awards of product design. The awarded works and the top public vote-getters were exhibited.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, some Taiwan guests expressed congratulations to the event via video calls.

A China Yandi Shennong Cultural Industry Development Alliance was founded at the ceremony. A group of outstanding works were contracted to be commercialized.
