On December 2, the large-scale historical documentary "China" held a press conference at the Academic Lecture Hall of the National Museum of China.
The documentary was produced by Hunan Satellite TV, Mango TV, and Beijing Bojing Culture Communication Co., Ltd.; and filmed by Hunan Satellite TV and Beijing Bojing. It focuses on ideas and systems; introduces the most influential people and stories since the Spring and Autumn Period (722-476 BC); reproduces the scenes of personal choices and their shining moments of the historical figures through cinematic shooting techniques; and, presents China’s spirit, value, and strength conveyed to the public. The 8K high-definition shooting also highlights the producers' goals and "ambitions", to make "China" take the lead in the new path of historical documentaries.
At the press conference, Zhang Huali, secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of the Board of the Golden Eagle Broadcasting System, explained why they chose to make this documentary. He believed that China is now undergoing the most extensive and profound social changes in its history, and also the most ambitious and unique practical innovation in human history. The most distinctive feature of the current era is the historical intersection of the overall strategy of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the great changes unseen in the world in a century. Under such complex circumstances and in the face of an uncertain future, tracing history and sorting out the origin of culture are of special significance, he added.
It was said that since December 7, "China" will be broadcast on Hunan Satellite TV and Mango TV at 19:30 every Monday to Thursday.
