Hunan Airlines to Carry out Winter and Spring Flight Schedule from Oct. 25

The Hunan Hongtu Airlines Co., Ltd., Hunan’s first local airline, has recently changed its name to Hunan Airlines Co., Ltd. On October 14, it announced under its new name that it will start carrying out its winter and spring flight schedule from October 25. It plans to operate 21 domestic air routes, including 5 new ones.


As planned, China’s civil aviation industry will enter the 2020 winter and spring flight season from October 25 this year. In the new flight season, Hunan Airlines will further optimize its transport capacity layout and route network, with Changsha, Kunming, Wuxi, and Nanjing as the main departure cities. It plans to operate 21 domestic air routes, including 5 new ones.

Hunan Airlines will open 2 new air routes from its headquarter Changsha to other cities, namely the Changsha-Chengdu and Changsha-Cangyuan-Lijiang air routes. It will also resume the Changsha-Kunming air route.

Hunan Airlines will open the Wuxi-Yantai-Harbin, Wuxi-Quanzhou, Kunming-Qingdao- Changbaishan routes. It will increase the frequency of flights between Kunming and Qingdao to 1 flight per day, and resume direct flights from Nanjing to Mangshi, Lincang, and Lijiang.


The Hunan Hongtu Airlines Co., Ltd. was located in the Changsha Airport Economic Demonstration Zone in July this year, becoming Hunan’s first local airline. It will undergo an operation qualification examination and review by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) after changing its enterprise name to Hunan Airlines.

The Hunan-based Hunan Airlines will lay out its industries around Changsha; accelerates the integration and expansion of Changsha’s 4-hour aviation economic circle; and, focus on building itself into an “Internet +” quality airline with Hunan characteristics.
