On June 12, a leadership and cadre meeting of Changsha City was held to announce personnel arrangement decisions. Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended and delivered a speech.

The meeting announced that, following a decision made by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Chen Jing was appointed as member of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee; member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee; and, secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee. Wu Guiying will no longer serve as secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee; member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee; and, member of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee.
