The 2024 Hunan Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season kicked off in Hengyang recently.
At the launch ceremony, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released the overall arrangements, reward and subsidy policies and series of activities for the 2024 Hunan Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season. From November 2024 to February 2025, the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, along with authorities from 13 cities and one prefecture, will host more than 2,000 special main activities such as the Tongguan Kiln Fire Dance Festival and the "Winter Tour to Zhangjiajie - National Mass Ice and Snow Season". The provincial department will work with financial institutions, e-commerce platforms, key enterprises, and media platforms to carry out a series of consumption promotional activities in Hunan's nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters; a series of cultural and tourism activities to benefit the people; a selection of cultural and creative products as well as exhibitions; and, the third Malanshan Digital Cultural Industry Carnival. More than 500 policies to benefit the people will be rolled out.
Changsha, Changde, and other national cultural and tourism consumption demonstration pilot cities, Nanyue Ancient Town, Beihu Cultural Tourism Business District and other nighttime cultural and tourism consumption clusters, Hunan Tourist Attractions Association, Meituan, Fliggy and other OTA platform representatives, successively released their preferential policies and related activities during the consumption season. The event also announced a list of the second batch of 20 provincial nighttime culture and tourism consumption clusters, including the Dawangshan Tourist Area in Xiangjiang New Area and Shifu Road Business District in Hengyang City. The named consumption clusters were conferred with plaques on site.
The event was under the guidance of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, and hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and the People's Government of Hengyang City.
