The Department of Commerce of Hunan Province recently issued the "2023 Hunan Province International Market Exploration - Action Plan for Thousands of Enterprises Getting Orders via Hundreds of Exhibitions". It encouraged foreign trade enterprises to "go global" to strive for more orders and expand their business, in the face of a new round of international market development opportunities.
The plan proposed to accurately explore key markets, and discover enterprises and products; organize enterprises to participate in domestic and overseas conventions, exhibitions, and economic and trade activities; and, host special events on supply and demand matchmaking and implement a series of measures such as trade promotion.
In 2023, it was planned to guide and support more than 1,000 Hunan-based enterprises to attend over 100 professional exhibitions or economic and trade activities at home and abroad; make every effort to seek orders from overseas markets; assist 1,000-odd enterprises to make breakthroughs or realize multiplication in foreign trade; and, increase the total import and export volume by 10%.
Hunan Province will continue to consolidate traditional markets such as the ASEAN and American countries this year; connect with targeted important markets such as the European Union; and, focus on developing strategic emerging markets such as countries along the "Belt and Road" route, RCEP members, and Africa, so as to expand the competitiveness and share of Hunan products in the global market.
The commercial department would also closely coordinate with relevant departments, including foreign affairs, industry and Information technology, public security, healthcare, state-owned assets, customs, and civil aviation, to fully escort Hunan products "going global". They would jointly assist enterprises in exhibition participation, comprehensive service, entry and exit facilitation, epidemic prevention and control, and transportation and delivery, to guarantee them to get orders effectively and enjoy fruitful results.
