The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) and the National Rural Revitalization Administration (NRRA) recently announced the list of national rural revitalization demonstration counties (county-level cities, districts) in 2022. Hunan's Miluo City, Louxing District, Liuyang City, and Heshan District made the list, the Hunan Provincial Rural Revitalization Administration said on October 16, 2022.

MARA and NRRA had carried out evaluation and review of the establishment of the national rural revitalization demonstration counties, in order to implement the "Opinions of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on Implementing the Key Tasks to Comprehensively Push Forward Rural Revitalization in 2022". After the application by the county-level units; selection by the municipal-level departments; review and recommendation by the provincial-level authorities; and, expert evaluation and disclosure for public supervision, MARA and NRRA agreed that 100 units, including Daxing District of Beijing City, are national rural revitalization demonstration counties in 2022.
