On October 27 morning, the Hunan Leading Group Office of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Integrated Development and the CZT Integrated Development Affairs Center were inaugurated at the complex of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government.

Xie Jianhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and executive vice governor, unveiled the nameplates of the two organs.

In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping’s speech during his inspection in Hunan, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the Hunan Provincial People’s Government have given top priority to promoting related work. The Leading Group Office of CZT Integrated Development was hence established. The CZT Integrated Development Affairs Center, formerly named the CZT Two-oriented Society Construction Service Center, will undertake routine work of the Leading Group Office.

The CZT city cluster is a most economically vigorous zone with best development foundation in Hunan, and also an important growth pole in central China and along the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The national 14th Five-year Plan and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 proposed to accelerate construction of the CZT metropolitan area to build it into a key growth pole of the country. The integrated development of the area is of great significance for accelerating implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy, and building a modernized new Hunan.
