Hunan's exports of agricultural machinery totaled 670 million CNY in the first 11 months this year, marking a 76.3% increase compared with the same period last year, said the Changsha Customs Authority on December 24, 2025.

Germany stands as the core overseas market for Hunan's agricultural machinery exports. During the January-November period, Hunan's exported agricultural machinery to Germany surged 10,630% to 120 million CNY, accounting for nearly 20% of the provincial total. The Indian market maintains steady demand for Hunan's agricultural machinery products, with exports growing 17.7% over the first 11 months. Meanwhile, Hunan's exports of agricultural machinery to Indonesia saw rapid growth, reaching 72.5% during the same period.

During the 2025 Africa International Agricultural Expo held in Kenya at the end of this October, 10 Hunan-based enterprises such as Zoomlion Agricultural Machinery, Hunan Nongyou, and Changsha Sunlight presented their products. The 42 units (sets) of Hunan agricultural machinery brought to the event were sold out on the site. The companies also secured sales orders worth 10.2 million CNY from local distributors and large-scale farms.

Hunan's exports of agricultural machinery showed steady growth in traditional categories and explosive expansion in specialty categories in overseas markets. The products featured flexibility, portability, strong adaptability, and high cost-effectiveness. Mowers with a horizontally rotating cutting device, used for lawns, parks, or sports grounds, stood out as "export pioneers." Their exports rocketed 1,027.2% to 220 million CNY in the first 11 months.

Changsha and Loudi were still the main exporters of agricultural machinery in Hunan, together accounting for over 80% of the total. In the first 11 months, Changsha's exports exceeded 50% of the total, surging 125.9% to 370 million CNY. Loudi's exports climbed 37.8% to 200 million CNY.

The Changsha Customs Authority recommended that the Hunan-made agricultural machinery should transfer from traditional equipment exports to high-end equipment manufacturing, while fully leveraging cross-border e-commerce platforms to expand overseas markets.
