A shipment of 610 kilograms of live lobsters from Vietnam landed at Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport recently. This is the first import of live aquatic products through Zhangjiajie Airport Port this year.
After completing the inspection and customs clearance procedures through Zhangjiajie Customs, these lobsters were immediately delivered to the Mawangdui Seafood Market in Changsha for sale.
The Zhangjiajie Customs Authority opened a "green channel" to ensure fast customs clearance of these live and fresh products, completing all clearance procedures in about ten minutes. These imported lobsters are highly sought-after in the seafood market for their fresh flavor and rich nutrition, according to the importer.
Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport is the only airport in the Wuling Mountain Area with a supervision site for imported fruits and edible aquatic animals designated by the customs authority. To date, the airport has resumed 14 international (regional) air routes to the destinations including Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and has conducted import of fresh products such as Vietnamese dragon fruits and frozen belt fish. In the first two months this year, the airport handled 114 inbound and outbound flights, showing a steady growth.
