Two Production Lines of Cyclohexanone Device Put into Operation

With an annual output of 400,000 tonnes, the production line B of the esterification cyclohexanone device successfully started full operation on May 25. The device is part of the Sinopec Group Hunan Petroleum Branch transformation and development project of caprolactam industrial chain relocation and upgrading. The project's production line A was put into operation in 2023. So far the two production lines together can produce 1,200 tonnes of cyclohexanone every day. The device possesses proprietary intellectual property rights and is the world's first industrialized device that uses a complete set of new technologies to produce cyclohexanone based on cyclohexene esterification and hydrogenation. The device adopts new reaction principle and is characterized by the advantages of high carbon yield coefficient, less emission of waste water, waste gas, and solid waste, being safe, clean, and efficient. The device has been developed into core technologies among a complete set of new technologies in new generation green production of cyclohexanone of the Sinopec Group, providing important support for the transformation and upgrading of China's cyclohexanone industrial chain.
