The Changsha Kaifu Sci-tech Innovation Valley Promotion Conference was held on March 2. A signing ceremony for key projects took place simultaneously. More than 300 people, including Hunan-born entrepreneurs, representatives of business associations, and outstanding alumni, gathered in Kaifu District to discuss development plans. Thirty-three key projects were signed on site.
The projects include 20 sci-tech innovation projects, 2 industrial fund projects, and 11 projects involving intelligent manufacturing, high-end services, biomedicine, and health.
The Changsha Kaifu Sci-tech Innovation Valley is an important measure to fully integrate into Changsha's building of a global R&D center city. The valley is committed to the development concept of "sci-tech innovation centered around universities and institutes, with a focus of industrialization in Malanshan and Jinxia areas" and will give full play to the scientific research advantages of universities such as the National University of Defense Technology and the Xiangya School of Medicine of Central South University. A layout featuring "driven by one core, supported by three areas, and undertaken by multiple units" is planned, aiming to build the valley into a competitive source of sci-tech innovation and a cluster of industrial development.
The valley's Sci-tech Innovation Exchange Center Building, Changsha Liaison Station for Central State-owned Enterprises in Military Industry, and Deya Alumni Development Service Center are under construction. A 3-billion-yuan industrial development fund has been set up. Every year, 300 million yuan of fund and 30,000 square meters of self-owned property will be used to support the growth of innovative entities.
