There are more than 20 days to go before the opening of the Second China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo (CAETE). The prelude to the China-Africa consultation and signing has already begun. On August 26 and 27, the 2nd CAETE Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference Import Session and Launching Ceremony was held online.

The import session was the largest China-Africa online matchmaking event in this year's expo. During the period, there were more than 300 business representatives from China and 11 African countries. There were 287 rounds of consultations held online and 88 cross-border cooperation intentions have been reached initially. The amount of intended import value from Africa is nearly 50 million USD.

Relying on the cross-border matchmaking platform, the import session focused on matchmaking of imports from African countries. African suppliers and Chinese buyers, focusing on such African resource products as coffee, cocoa, cashew nuts, macadamia nuts, sesame, cassava, beef, red wine, and ore, had multiple rounds of point-to-point video consultations and negotiations. The platform can provide online translation and high-quality matchmaking services for bilateral companies, and build high-quality and efficient cooperation bridges.

During the 2nd CAETE, there will also be a similar session, the 2nd CAETE Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference Export Session and Signing Ceremony to be held at the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center. It will showcase the online matchmaking results; expand and deepen exchanges and cooperation; and, promote the signing of a number of new and high-quality projects.
