On June 7, a list of key projects for the digital transformation (digitalization, networking, and intelligence) of the manufacturing industry in Hunan Province in 2023 was released by the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology. A total of 471 projects were shortlisted.
A person in charge of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology stated, "With projects as the driving force, we will accelerate the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)." The digital foundation of SMEs in Hunan is relatively weak. This year, over 80% of selected key projects are managed by SMEs. Upon completion, these projects will help the enterprises enhance the production efficiency and core competitiveness.
There are 265 projects for digital transformation, 47 projects for networked collaboration, and 159 projects for intelligent upgrading. For example, the digital transformation project of the Hunan Tangrenshen Meat Products Co., Ltd. will make full use of next-generation information technologies such as big data to optimize and upgrade production, operation, management, and other key processes. The 471 projects have a total investment of more than 9.6 billion yuan, including 27 projects with an investment of over 100 million yuan each. Currently, 5.44 billion yuan has been invested, and 55% of the projects have completed half of their tasks.
All 13 cities and one prefecture have key projects selected. Among them, Shaoyang City has 72 projects selected, ranking first in the province. In terms of industries, the key projects are involved in competitive industries such as machinery manufacturing, electronic information manufacturing, and food. The machinery manufacturing industry has the highest number of projects, reaching 92.
The popularization rate of digital research and development design tools in the manufacturing industry in Hunan has reached 79.6%, and 41.7% of enterprises have achieved networked collaboration. All the figures are higher than the national average. This year, Hunan will further advance the "Empowering Enterprises with Intelligence" campaign, promote the quality and scale of the digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, accelerate networked collaboration, and steadily advance intelligent upgrades.
