Hunan initiated the establishment of six provincial-level characteristic supporting industrial parks around four major industries of automobile manufacturing, electric power equipment, rail transit, and aviation and aerospace. This aimed to promote the coordinated development of key and supporting industries and guarantee the stability and safety of industrial and supply chains. It was learned from the Development and Reform Commission of Hunan Province on March 7, 2023.
According to the plan, the six industrial parks include two for automobile manufacturing, two for electric power equipment, 1 for rail transit, and 1 for aviation and aerospace.
The Hunan Automobile Manufacturing Supporting Industrial Park (Changsha), relying on the Management Committee of the Airport Block of the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area and its management area, strives to build itself into an important auto parts "silicon valley" in the central parts of China and a backbone of the auto parts industry in Hunan Province. The operating income of auto parts manufacturing in the park is expected to exceed 40 billion yuan by 2025.
The Hunan Automobile Manufacturing Supporting Industrial Park (Xiangtan), relying on the Hunan High-end Auto Parts Industrial Park in the Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone, will become a national first-class and provincial leading characteristic professional industrial park.
The Hunan Electric Power Equipment Supporting Industrial Park (Hengyang), relying on the Hengnan Industrial Development Zone, develops the electric power equipment industry based on the industrial leading companies such as TBEA.
The Hunan Electric Power Equipment Supporting Industrial Park (Xiangtan), relying on the Central Hunan Electric Power Industrial Park of the Xiangxiang Economic and Technological Development Zone, vigorously introduces leading enterprises of electric power equipment manufacturing and intelligent high voltage equipment with core technologies, as well as upstream and downstream supporting enterprises, to let the "Hunan Electric Power Force" brand shine.
The Hunan Rail Transit Supporting Industrial Park (Zhuzhou), relying on the Tianxin Area of Zhuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, strives to exceed 100 billion yuan in industrial scale by 2025, build a world-class rail transit equipment research and development center and an internationally leading rail transit equipment intelligent manufacturing center, and build the country's largest rail transit industry service center.
The Hunan Aviation and Aerospace Supporting Industrial Park (Zhuzhou), relying on the Dongjiaduan Area of Zhuzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, cultivates and introduces high-quality supporting projects.
