The Second Hunan (Huaihua) RCEP Economic and Trade Expo will be held at the China (Huaihua) International Exhibition Center from May 8 to 11, 2025. The theme of the expo will be "Share Opportunities to Deliver the Future", as announced by the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Commerce.

The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a free trade agreement that now covers the world's largest population with the largest economic and trade scale. Huaihua City has continuously strengthened communication and exchange with the other RCEP members since 2022, to continuously promote the city's high-quality development and high-level opening up by seizing the opportunity of hosting the Hunan (Huaihua) RCEP Economic and Trade Expo.

The expo will have a total area of about 20,000 square meters, highlighting both internationalization and professionalization. It will consist of such five exhibition areas as the RCEP Country Pavilion, "Dual-channel" Pavilion, "5 + 10" Industry Pavilion, City and Prefecture Pavilion, and Service Trade Pavilion. The embassies and consulates of RCEP countries in China and representatives of key business associations and enterprises from other RCEP members that have close economic and trade relations with Hunan Province and Huaihua City will be invited to participate in the expo and engage in exchanges.

In order to fully demonstrate the effect of hosting the expo, Huaihua City will hold three major events during the period: meetings, exhibitions, and negotiations. These will include leadership meetings, meal talkfests, pavilion visits, the opening ceremony and the RCEP economic and trade investment promotion, along with other major activities. The intangible culture heritage going global through economic and trade partnerships, "dual-channel" and RCEP port synergistic development promotion meeting, and field inspection trips will also be held during the period.

A person in charge of the Huaihua Municipal Bureau of Commerce remarked that the expo is not only a platform to showcase Huaihua's image, but also a breakthrough to promote industrial upgrading and expand opening up and collaboration. Huaihua will take the expo as a window to focus on industrial chain matchmaking and service trade opening up, advancing industrial upgrading and elevating quality and efficiency of the open economy.
