The 2024 Hunan-Yangtze River Delta economic and trade cooperation and exchange activity is being held in Shanghai from November 4 to 6, coinciding with the opening of the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 5, 2024. The activity is a major investment attraction event organized by Hunan, reflecting a new approach to attracting investment. It emphasizes targeted investment attraction in industrial chains and aims to engage Fortune Global 500 companies, as well as attract foreign investment. The goal is to convert exhibitors into investors.
During the period, Hunan will hold a Hunan-Germany economic and trade cooperation and exchange conference and 5 special investment promotion activities in Shanghai. The Hunan-Germany economic and trade cooperation and exchange conference will invite 26 German enterprises, business associations, and organizations, highlighting attracting, introducing, and serving German's small and medium-sized enterprises and advancing German's Small & Medium Enterprises Cluster Zone (Hunan) construction.
Five themed activities are on new energy industrial chain investment promotion, biomedical industry investment promotion, Hunan Xiangjiang New Area special promotion, advanced manufacturing and new materials thematic investment promotion, and Hunan and foreign business associations economic and trade cooperation matchmaking. They will give full play to the main roles of the units managing industrial chains and major industrial parks and zones of cities and prefecture, promoting small yet targeted, point-to-point, and in-depth industrial chain investment attraction.
The 7th CIIE is being held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. So far, Hunan has more than 1,500 enterprises and 4,500 professional visitors registered to participate in the exhibition. Hunan delegation has set up people-to-people exchanges display area in CIIE for six consecutive years. This year, the display area is further expanded, conveying the charm and value of Hunan culture to the world through presentation of time-honored enterprises and intangible cultural heritage inheritance and development.
Hunan's 15 trading sub-groups will also hold various types of supporting activities, organize investment promotion departments to engage in projects matchmaking at the CIIE, and promote key industries of Hunan.
