The 16th Hunan Tea Industry Expo will be held at the Hunan International Convention and Exhibition Center (Mango Hall) in Changsha between September 6 and 9. An exhibition featuring red stoneware, ceramics, tea utensils, and artware will take place simultaneously.
The expo will cover a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, with 1,200 international standard booths. It will be divided into the Hunan Tea Pavilion, National Tea Pavilion, and Red Stoneware Art Exhibition Area. The exhibits will include green tea, black tea, white tea, yellow tea, dark tea, oolong tea, as well as red stoneware, ceramics, handicrafts, and many other items from the tea industrial chain.
Hunan is a major tea producer, boasting a tea output value of 100 billion CNY. In 2023, the Hunan tea industrial chain achieved a comprehensive output value of 106.2 billion CNY, ranking fourth nationwide and maintaining a stable development trend. The tea plantation area across the province reached 3.52 million mu (234,667 ha.), with an annual output of 338,000 tonnes of tea. Relying on the strong development momentum of the Hunan tea industry and the profound tradition of colorful Hunan tea, the 2024 tea expo will comprehensively improve upon the experiences and results of previous sessions. It will present an all-round display of the innovative ways and popular trends of tea industrial chain during the whole process, combining guochao culture with traditional tea culture to attract more youths.
