Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway

The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway, with the most underground railway stations nationwide, officially started operation on Dec. 26, 2016.

The intercity railway, with a total length of 104.36 km, has 24 stations. Its design speed is 200 km/hour. The 17 stations to the south of the Changsha Station have been put into operation in 2016 end. With the west extension started operation on December 26, 2017, it marked that the whole line was open.

Twenty-four stations are: Changshaxi Station, Lugu Station, Jianshan Station, Gushan Station, Bafangshan Station, Guanshaling Station, Kaifu Temple Station, Changsha Railway Station, Shumuling Station, Xiangzhang Road Station, Xiangfu Road Station, Dongjing Station, Xianfeng Station, Furongnan Station, Muyun Station, Jiulangshan Station, Tianxindong Station, Dafeng Station, Zhuzhounan Railway Station, Zhaoshan Station, Hetang Station, Bantang Station, and Xiangtan Railway Station.

 

The new operation diagram for the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Intercity Railway has been put into operation from April 10, 2018. Twelve pairs of EMU trains will be added. It will help increase the operation density of trains running among Changsha Station, Zhuzhounan Station and Xiangtan; reduce passenger’s travel time; optimize stop-schedule; facilitate the smooth operation of the intercity railway that adopts mass transit periodic system; and contribute to the smooth passenger flow in the three destinations. There are three ways for getting detailed trip information:
1. Call the service hotline: 12306. It is offered by Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation.
2. Visit the China Railway Customer Service Center website www. 12306. cn.
3. Visit the official website of the Guangzhou Railway (Group) Corporation www.gzrailway.com.cn.
4. Consult at ticket windows opened by railway stations.

Ticket and seats information:
From Changshaxi Station to Zhuzhounan Railway Station lasts 70-92 minutes and it costs 40 yuan.
From Changshaxi Station to Xiangtan Railway Station lasts 64 to 91 minutes and it costs 36 yuan.

As the train will operate in public transportation mode, passengers may take the seat without in accordance with ticket number. In other words, passengers can take any vacant seat on the train.

Tips:
1. Please arrive at Intercity Railway Station at least 15 minutes ahead of departure, to ensure plentiful time for security check, checking in, and walking to the train.
2. Train toilets can be found at the first and eighth compartments.
3. Smoking is prohibited on trains.
Once someone is smoking, the smoke sensors will make an alarm, which will lead to the train slowing down or even stopping. According to regulations, when causing serious consequences, the smokers will be fined and detained.
4. Luggage carriers are equipped.
There is no large luggage depository on trains, while pothooks and baggage holders are equipped to place small luggage.
5. Pets are not permitted on trains.
