Entry-exit Travel Reminder for 2026 New Year Holiday

As the year of 2026 approaches, the Hunan General Station of Immigration Inspection made a prediction for passenger flow during the upcoming three-day New Year holiday. It reminds travelers of passenger flow peaks, measures and solutions, and customs clearance matters at the ports across the province, to facilitate their entry and exit trips. 




It is forecasted that, during the New Year holiday between January 1 and 3, Hunan's ports will handle 12,500 entry-exit passenger trips and nearly 80 inbound and outbound passenger flights, marking a year-on-year growth of 12% in average daily flow. 

Changsha Airport: Connecting to 11 countries and regions, with peak hours taking place at night.

During the New Year holiday, the Changsha airport will operate passenger flights to 11 destinations in 11 countries and regions, including: London in the UK, Nairobi in Kenya, Bangkok in Thailand, Seoul in South Korea, Jakarta in Indonesia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Vientiane in Laos, Singapore, Hanoi in Vietnam, and China's Hong Kong SAR.

The Changsha airport is expected to handle 10,000 entry-exit passenger trips and about 60 inbound and outbound flights. The average daily flow will amount to approximately 3,300 passenger trips, rising 17% over the same period of last year. Peak hours will take place between 19:00 and 1:00 the next day. Peak days will fall on January 2 and 3, anticipating an average of over 4,000 entry-exit passenger trips each day. 

Zhangjiajie Airport: Connecting to six destinations in four countries, with rush hours taking place at noon.

During the holiday, Zhangjiajie airport will operate international flights to six destinations in four countries, namely, Seoul, Busan, and Daegu in South Korea, Bangkok in Thailand, Sabah in Malaysia, and Singapore.

The airport is expected to handle more than 2,500 entry-exit passenger trips and 16 inbound and outbound flights, with an average daily flow of about 860 passenger trips. Peak hours will be seen between 12:00 and 16:00. Peak day will fall on January 3, anticipating nearly 860 entry-exit passenger trips. 




Statistics showed that, as of December 28, Hunan's ports handled over 1.63 million entry-exit passenger trips this year. With the implementation of multiple innovative immigration management measures and continuous release of facilitated clearance policy dividend, the passenger flow at the ports during the New Year holiday is expected to reach a new high.
