Hunan has welcomed another inbound tour group of over 100 people. On May 16, 156 Filipino tourists arrived at Changsha Huanghua International Airport on a charter flight, embarking on a five-day in-depth tour to Changsha, Zhangjiajie, and Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.
On May 9, a 45-member tour group from India visited the Huanglong Cave Scenic Area to experience the low-altitude helicopter tour, enjoying the spectacular views of Zhangjiajie's canyons and peak forests as well as the rural landscapes from a unique "bird's-eye view." Recently, with the continued growth of inbound tourists, Zhangjiajie's low-altitude helicopter tours have gained increasing popularity, with groups of foreign tourists flocking to the city.
The Hunan General Station of Immigration Inspection revealed on May 6 that Hunan's ports of entry recorded 26,000 entries and exits from May 1 to 5, a 6.4% year-on-year increase, marking the highest figure for the same period since 2020.
During the just-concluded May Day holiday, many places across Hunan Province saw a surge of overseas tourists, reflecting a robust holiday economy. In folk theaters, Chinese and foreign tourists joined hands on stage, interacting with each other with great enthusiasm. At hot scenic spots, groups of young volunteers proficient in foreign languages provided translation and guidance services for international visitors.
