Yaowan Historical and Cultural Street Block

The Yaowan Historical and Cultural Street Block Project is built near the river, starting from the boundary of Xinma Road in the east, reaching the Yangmeizhou Bridge in the west and the Shiwanlong Embankment in the north, and bordering the Xiangjiang River in the south. The project covers an area of about 623 mu (about 41.5 ha.), with a total construction area of about 190,000 square meters. It is planned as "one center, one axis,  and four areas". That is, with Tanbao Bus Station as the center, Yaowan Old Street as the axis, and four functional areas featuring history and culture, commercial folk customs, leisure and entertainment, high-end residences, and wetland parks. The project was completed in three phases.

Yaowan Block was included in the first batch of Hunan provincial tourism and leisure blocks and was rated as a historical and cultural block in Hunan Province.
