Shaoyang Flower-drum Opera Theater

Shaoyang Flower-drum Opera Theater, founded in May 1980, has a construction area of 3,010 square meters. It was the only professional theater with complete functions and reasonable design in Shaoyang City at that time. The theater has made great contributions to promoting Shaoyang's cultural and artistic performances for the past decades. Now it shoulders the task assigned by the local government to offer free performances on weekends. These efforts play an important role in carrying forward traditional Chinese culture, displaying the charm of intangible cultural heritage items, and enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people.
