Longshan Mountain National Forest Park

Located south of Lianyuan City, Longshan (Dragon) Mountain National Forest Park occupies an area of 9,286.12 hectares. It is approved as a provincial forest park by the Forestry Department of Hunan Province.

With the highest peak up to 1,513.37 meters, the park earned its name for the majestic and towering mountains stretching like a dragon. The habitat is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, which is abundant in animal and plant resources. Statistics show that there are 12 varieties of animals under second-class state protection in the park.

Limpid creeks and waterfalls can be found everywhere in the park, whose water quality meets drinking water standard. Fresh air and high negative oxygen ions in the park are guaranteed and mostly due to its rich vegetation.

In recent years, tourists have increasingly chosen the area as a holiday resort due to mountain's good ecological environment and beautiful scenery. The park fully utilizes its advantage to vigorously protect the ecological environment, strengthen infrastructure construction, promote its capacity of tourist reception and intensify publicity efforts, thus making it the most eye-catching and splendid scenic pot in the central Hunan.
