Anren Rice Paddy Field Park: Integrating Agriculture and Tourism

In the golden autumn season, the Rice Paddy Field Park in Anren County, Chenzhou City, welcomes its most beautiful time of the year. Vast stretches of rice paddies, interspersed with visitors strolling through them, together create a vivid pastoral scene. By promoting deep integration of agriculture and tourism, the local authority has transformed ecological resources into development advantages, forging a distinctive path toward rural revitalization.

Inside the Rice Paddy Field Park, rice stalks sway in the wind like rippling green waves. Visitors stroll along the field boardwalks, taking photos; photography enthusiasts capture moments of light and shadow; and art teachers sketch and paint on site, preserving the rural scenery forever. Natural landscapes and human experiences blend perfectly here, offering visitors a unique "a restorative trip to the countryside."

Liu Xuefeng, an art teacher sketching on site, said, "The Rice Paddy Field Park is a signature calling card of Anren. At this special moment, I want to record the beautiful scene in my sketchbook and preserve it forever."

The local specialty snack Tangpi (steamed rice sheet roll) has become a must-try for visitors. At a snack stall beside the park, a vendor surnamed Zhou skillfully spreads rice batter evenly and steams it in a basket. Two or three minutes later, the aroma of rice fills the air, and a freshly made Tangpi is ready. He rolls it up with chili oil, tofu skin, and pickled vegetables (a local preserved side dish), then hands it to visitors. It is learned that the stall sells over 800 pieces of Tangpi per day on average, with a daily revenue exceeding 4,000 yuan.

"Tangpi is a 'limited‑edition delicacy' that you can only experience in Anren. Paired with the scenery before me, it feels truly perfect," said a visitor called Peng Xiaoyan.

Taking the Rice Paddy Field Park as an example, Anren County is systematically promoting the integrated agriculture-tourism model, transforming "beautiful scenery" into "beautiful economy," and boosting rural revitalization and the upgrading of agricultural-tourism industries across the county.
