The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) Metropolitan Area Exhibition Hall presents the layout and development plan, cultural deposits, and regional vitality of the CZT Metropolitan Area in an all-round manner.
The CTZ Metropolitan Area Exhibition Hall is located on the Orange Isle, formerly the CZT Two-oriented Society Exhibition Hall. The renovated hall focuses on "implementing the 'Strengthening the Provincial Capital' Strategy, leading the CZT Metropolitan construction, and driving high-quality development of the province". It adopts digital, immersive, and interactive display forms to showcase Hunan's implementation of the "Strengthening the Provincial Capital" Strategy, and its efforts in boosting the CZT Metropolitan Area construction.
It is a two-layer red-brick building composed of four exhibition areas – preface; "Strengthening the Provincial Capital" Strategy; metropolitan construction; and, metropolitan experience.
The preface area introduces the history and future of the CZT city cluster. Visitors would learn about the CZT Metropolitan Area, the "Strengthening the Provincial Capital" Strategy, and influential city clusters in China and around the world. A digital sand table, based on multiple modern technologies, displays the location, spatial structure, transportation system, strategic platforms, and opening-up channels of the metropolitan area.
The "Strengthening the Provincial Capital" Strategy area demonstrates the layout of "one policy system, one center, and multiple platforms" – the "Strengthening the Provincial Capital" Strategy policy system; the CZT Ecological Green Center; and, important strategic platforms including the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area, CZT National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, Changsha Airport Economic Demonstration Zone, and Malanshan Video Cultural and Creative Industrial Park.
At the Metropolitan Construction area, convenient commuting circles, industrial circles, and living circles, as well as progresses of regional integration of government services, are on display.
The Metropolitan Experience area has two parts – Huxiang culture and digital experience. At the Huxiang cultural part, Hunan's cultural representatives such as embroidery, porcelain, and academy are presented. Via an interactive image technology, visitors can tour the scenic spots and attractions around the province, such as the Former Residence of Mao Zedong, Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang Ancient Town, and internet-famous Wenheyou Restaurant. There is a "flying cinema". The audiences can "fly" over Hunan and appreciate splendid Hunan Province with a three-dimensional perspective.
The exhibition hall opens to the public free of charge.
