The Memorial Museum of Comrade Liu Shaoqi is located in Huaminglou Town, Ningxiang City, Changsha City. The museum is a national center for collecting and studying the cultural relics of Liu Shaoqi and an ideological publicity base. It has been awarded titles of the National Patriotism Education Demonstration Base, the National First-class Museum, the National Clean Government Education Base, the National 5A-level Tourist Attraction, and the National Primary and Secondary School Students' Research and Practice Education Base. Covering an area of 1,300 mu (about 86 hectares), the museum mainly includes memorial venues such as the Former Residence of Comrade Liu Shaoqi, the gatehouse square of Liu Shaoqi's hometown, the bronze statue square, the exhibition hall of Liu Shaoqi's life and achievements, the dedicated hall of the Liu Shaoqi's labor movement, the Liu Shaoqi cultural relics protection center, and the former site of Comrade Liu Shaoqi's alma mater—Tanzichong School. The museum also encompasses tourist attractions such as Huaming Tower, Self-Cultivation Pavilion, Wande Tripod, Yiye Lake, Anhu Pond, and Tanzichong Folk Culture Village. All of these have transformed the Huaminglou Scenic Area into a place of cultural significance, harmonious landscapes, and beautiful scenery.
