The Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism released Hunan's cultural tourism market data for the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday period on the evening of October 8. From October 1 to 8, the province received 39.9294 million tourist trips, an increase of 19.35% compared to the same period last year. The total amount of tourist-related expenditure reached 50.206 billion CNY, up 25.96% compared to the same period last year. The per capita tourism expenditure stood at 1,257.9 CNY, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%.

In particular, 10.3712 million trips were made by tourists from outside the province, accounting for 25.97% of the total. The total spending of these tourists reached 19.251 billion CNY, marking a year-on-year increase of 21.43% compared to the previous National Day holiday.
The cumulative tourist trips at 1,040 monitored cultural and tourism units reached 14.7715 million, marking a year-on-year increase of 12.24% compared to the previous National Day holiday. Among them, 12 national 5A-level scenic areas received a total of 4.4134 million tourist trips, representing a year-on-year growth of 34.3%.
