The flight VJ7866 of Vietjet Air from Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, carrying over 220 international passengers, landed in Zhangjiajie on the evening of August 5, 2024. So far, the Zhangjiajie airport has seen 300,012 inbound and outbound passenger trips this year, 33% more than that of the whole year of 2023.
As the travel rush season comes, the number of inbound passengers in Zhangjiajie has surged rapidly. At present, the Zhangjiajie airport operates flights to ten destinations in five countries and regions, including South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, and Hong Kong SAR. Every week, 82 international passenger flights are operated on average.
"Zhangjiajie has welcomed booming inbound travels this year. The number of inbound and outbound passenger trips hit 3,000 daily", said an officer of the Zhangjiajie Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection Station. In order to respond to the travel rush, the station has taken efforts to improve its service quality and efficiency, conducting scientific forecast of passenger flows and timely adjusting arrangement of working staff. This has helped shorten the waiting and inspection time of passengers, facilitating their travels.
