The Hunan Department of Culture and Tourism recently held a video conference focused on promoting the province's cultural and creative tourism industrial chain.
During the conference, an update on Hunan's cultural and creative tourism industrial chain development in the first half of this year was presented. In the first half, the province saw 322 million tourist trips and realized a total tourism revenue of 492.771 billion CNY, growing by 10.33% and 12.7% year on year respectively.
Data showed that, from January to March, the cultural and related enterprises above the designated size made an operation revenue of 69.647 billion CNY, an increase of 5% over the same period of last year. Between January and May, the operation revenue of the audio-visual enterprises above the designated size reached 105.63 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%.
In the first half, 327 major cultural and tourism projects were under construction around the province, with a total investment of 167.7 billion CNY, among which 48.881 billion CNY has been invested in the projects.
Besides, 227 cultural and tourism projects were newly signed. Construction of 130 projects has been launched with a paid-in investment of 3.004 billion CNY.
In the first five months, the investment in cultural, sports, and entertainment projects grew by 3.7%, 2.2 percentage points higher than the provincial average investment growth.
