As of June 4, the inbound and outbound passengers travelling through Zhangjiajie Airport have exceeded 200,000, approaching the total number of the previous year. The number of foreign passengers has reached a record high.
Zhangjiajie Airport has resumed operation of 12 international air routes, bound for Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Seoul, Cheju, Daegu, and Kuala Lumpur, among other destinations. Eighty international flights operate every week, including 50 flights to and from South Korea. The number of inbound and outbound passengers at the airport has secured Zhangjiajie's leading position among the non-capital cities in central China.
As a major window onto Zhangjiajie for the world, the Zhangjiajie Border Inspection Station has made efforts to respond to the rapid rise in inbound and outbound passengers, especially foreign travelers. The station has comprehensively improved its service quality, and dispatched border inspection consultants to travel agencies to offer detailed explanations and guidance. The station offers peak travel forecasts ahead of public holidays, dynamically adjusting police deployment and scientifically setting up service lanes, so as to provide more timely, reliable, and high-quality service.
