The "Savoring Spring Tea and Admiring Verdant Countryside" route in Jishou City features two key attractions: the Aikou Tea-Tourism Town and the Tea-Tourism Folk Landscape in Hangtuo and Pingnian villages.
The Aikou Village is a major tea-producing area in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. The village boasts serene surroundings and picturesque scenery. The village has built a tea-themed research and education base and featured homestays, and fostered diversified tea-tourism business formats. Thanks to these efforts, the place has been recognized as one of China's first ten tea-tourism integrated routes.
Visitors here can immerse themselves in the beauty of lush tea plantations, participate in agricultural activities like tea-picking and tea-making, and enjoy leisure pursuits such as hiking, cycling, and fishing.
The route is included in the national list of high-quality spring travel routes at the 2025 Beautiful Countryside Leisure Tourism (Spring) Promotion Event which is organized by the Department of Rural Industries of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
