The Ministry of Culture and Tourism (MCT) recently unveiled 10 national-level Yangtze River themed tourist routes and a travel guide on quality travel routes along the Yangtze River international golden tourism belt.
The themes include cultural origins tracing, world-level heritage, Communist revolutionary heritage, nature and ecology, rural vitalization, intangible cultural heritage, and urban recreational tours, according to the MCT.
Langshan Mountain Scenic Area in Hunan Province is an important part of the world-level heritage route.
Langshan Mountain Scenic Area is located in Xinning County which is in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is a landscape scenic area with Danxia and Danxia-karst mixed landforms as the main characteristics, with a total area of 108 square kilometers. There are six tourist attractions, including Tianyi Lane, Bajiao Village, Chili Peak, Fuyi River, Zixia Cave, and Tiansheng (Innate) Bridge. Langshan Mountain Scenic Area is a world natural heritage site, a national 5A scenic spot, a national geopark, and a national scenic spot. It was honored as one of China's most desirable places, one of China's top ten scenic areas with the most development potential, one of China's best eco-cultural tourism destinations, and a national civilized unit.
The world-level heritage route connects world cultural heritage and natural heritage sites along the Yangtze River, including Jiuzhaigou National Park, Lijiang Ancient Town, Huangshan Mountain, Classical Gardens of Suzhou, West Lake, Wulingyuan Scenic Area, and Langshan Mountain. The travel route integrates beautiful scenery of mountains and waters, and profound culture, which attracts tourists to explore the cultural and natural beauty of the Yangtze River and experience unique Chinese culture.
