The daytime route goes from Orange Isle Tourism Wharf to the Statue of Young Mao Zedong, Siyangfangzun Square and Du Fu Pavilion. In addition, the night route includes two more sites—Juzizhou (Orange Isle) Bridge and Wanda Plaza, based on the daytime one.

The Orange Isle Tourism Wharf Route passes through the Orange Isle, Du Fu Pavilion, Xiangjiang 1st Bridge, Fengfan Square, Fisherman's Wharf, and other urban characteristic attractions. The route was included in a pilot list of China's high-quality waterway passenger travel routes in October 2022. Since then, the route has highlighted Changsha's history and culture, inheritance of red or revolutionary resources, natural landscapes, and modern features. Diversified theme tours including red tour, Xiangjiang night tour, and Orange Isle tour have been launched along the route, in a bid to vigorously improve the service quality of the route. The route has become an internet-popular photo spot in Changsha.
