The Future 'Character' Creator -- 2025 Youth Chinese Character Digital Art Creative Exhibition kicked off recently. Organized by the Hunan Provincial Library of Juveniles and Children, the exhibition aims to use Chinese characters as a cultural bond to gather digital art wisdom from young people worldwide, building a bridge for youth exchanges among different civilizations.

A cultural and art performance.
The event attracted young participants from more than ten countries and regions, including China, Russia, the United States, France, Germany, Spain, Yemen, and Madagascar, collecting over 500 digital artworks. Following a rigorous evaluation process, 79 outstanding works were selected. Notably, 19 of these masterpieces have already served as "cultural ambassadors," successively making appearances at United Nation's "International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations" and Russia's Chinese Culture and Art Festival "On the Shores of Lake Baikal." They are also simultaneously exhibited at the Hunan Provincial Library of Juveniles and Children and the Hunan Song Dan Chinese Character Art Museum.

The opening ceremony featured a vibrant cultural performance that blended Eastern and Western elements. Highlights included a chorus of "We Are the World" by Chinese and foreign teachers conveying the idea of "one world, one family;" a Chinese-style dance "Drunken Spring Breeze" showcasing Eastern aesthetics; and, an exotic Moroccan traditional song and dance performance "Welcome to Morocco." Diverse cultures resonated harmoniously on the same stage. At the event, young creators who won the "Best Innovation," "Best Creativity," "Best Design," and "Best Performance" awards were honored.

A spokesperson for the Hunan Provincial Library of Juveniles and Children stated that the library will further leverage Chinese character art as a bridge to collaborate with more international cultural institutions, educational organizations, and youth creative groups. The library will also continue to build higher-level and more influential exchange platforms, enabling digital Chinese character art to truly become a "civilizational ambassador" that transcends borders and connects hearts.
