Hunan Province held a conference to convey and study the spirit of the national annual "Two Sessions" in Changsha on the afternoon of March 12, 2024.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, attended. He asked to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the "Two Sessions", especially the important speeches made by President Xi Jinping. He called for developing new quality productive forces according to local conditions, taking solid and effective steps to deliver solid outcomes, and, pooling great strength to achieve the blueprint set for the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Hunan Province, presided over the meeting. Mao Wanchun, chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Li Dianxun, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, were present.

Provincial leaders Wang Shuangquan, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Yang Haodong, Wang Yiguang, Zhang Yingchun, Wang Yu, and Qin Guowen, participated in the meeting.

Secretary Shen emphasized the importance of fostering new quality productive forces that showcase the unique characteristics of Hunan while aligning with local conditions. We should give full play to Hunan's advantages in light of specific conditions, keep high-quality development as the top priority, and take the development of new quality productive forces as a strong impetus to advance the implementation of the "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" strategic blueprint.

Governor Mao chaired the meeting.

Governor Mao noted that when developing new quality productive forces according to local conditions, it is crucial to integrate Hunan's resources and technological advantages, innovatively allocate production factors, and accelerate the construction of the "4 × 4" modern industrial system, to foster new drivers of economic growth.

Other provincial leading cadres, veteran comrades above the vice-provincial level, and the main responsible comrades of provincial departments, province-administered enterprises, institutions of higher learning, and central government branches in Hunan joined the meeting.
