The 2024 Hunan Trade and Investment Promotion Global Partnership Conference was held in Changsha on May 31. According to the Adviser to the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Hunan is considered as one of Serbia's best options for market cooperation. This is due to its favorable policy guidelines, good infrastructure, open economy, and convenient transportation conditions.

The conference was a part of the 13th Central China Investment and Trade Exposition (Expo Central China 2024). Themed "Select Hunan, Win-Win Cooperation", the event focused on industries such as construction machinery, modern agriculture, and new energy that are highlighted in the "4 × 4" modern industrial system. It aimed to promote economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and all other parties. The attendees included 192 foreign guests from 67 foreign embassies or consulates in China, overseas investment promotion institutions, chambers of commerce, and associations as well as 52 overseas enterprises in 43 countries and regions including the United States and France, and representatives of more than 10 industrial associations, major industrial parks, and key enterprises of the industrial chain in Hunan Province.
