The 13th Central China Investment and Trade Exposition opened in Changsha on May 31, 2024. Themed “Opening Up and Innovation, and the Rise of Central China”, the expo will last for three days.

As a large-scale and high-standard economic and trade event, the expo is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Federation of Industrial Economics, and the provincial governments of Hunan, Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Shanxi.

Hunan, as the host province, held a conference for attracting investment in the modern petrochemical industry of the central region. Henan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Shanxi respectively focused on hub economy development, new materials industrial and supply chain innovation and cooperation, new energy vehicle industrial chain investment promotion, electronic information industrial chain investment promotion, and new energy industrial chain promotion.

Since 2006, the six provinces in central China have taken turns to host the expo. This year marks the first session of the third round. As a national-level comprehensive exposition focusing on investment and trade promotion, it is of critical significance in accelerating in-depth reform and high-level opening up in the central regions and promoting the rise of central China.
