The Aizhai Mountain Road, known as a marvelous wonder of China's roads, is the most perilous section of the Hunan-Sichuan Highway. The 6-kilometer-long Aizhai mountain road has 13 hairpin turns stacked one upon the other.

In 2020, Jishou City worked vigorously to build the Aizhai Marvelous Wonders Scenic Area into a national 5A-class scenic area, and a major support for the tourism industry of Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture. This colorful road has attracted numerous visitors to appreciate its spectacular new look.
