Tanzanian Ambassador to China Mbelwa Kairuki: Hunan is the "center" of China-Africa trade.
Located in eastern Africa and south of the Equator, Tanzania has a coastline of 840 kilometres and a population of 59.1 million. It is rich in minerals, water conservancy, and tourism resources, and the forest coverage rate is 46%. Manufacturing, mining and tourism industries have registered robust development.
Mbelwa Kairuki: Changsha is a charming city. This is my fourth visit to Changsha. Tanzania cooperates closely with Hunan. Our soybeans, sesame, coffee, cocoa and other products are shipped to Hunan first and then supplied to the Chinese market. Hunan is now a "trade center" between China and Africa and between China and Tanzania.
Tanzania is home to Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain, and pristine beaches. In addition, the Tanzania-Zambia Railway is a famous symbol of China-Africa cooperation. We expect more Chinese and Hunan enterprises to invest, start businesses, and travel in Tanzania.
