On the evening of August 4, the 2026 Hunan Rural Cultural Tourism Festival and the Hunan Alpine Summer Retreat and Wellness Season (Yanling County) were launched at the Yunshang Dayuan Scenic Area in Yanling County.

With the provincial theme of "Meet in Hunan for Summer Escape and Wellness" and the Yanling-specific theme of " Yanling Peaches: A Cool Summer Delight," the event aims to fully showcase Hunan's alpine ecological resources and its achievements in rural cultural tourism development, while continuing to strengthen the province's brand for alpine summer retreat and wellness tourism.

At the launch ceremony, Yanling County promoted itself as a summer retreat and wellness destination, highlighting its ecological resources, favorable climate, wellness experiences, and local specialties. The county showcased its cool, eco-friendly environment and presented diverse tourism experiences such as "summer retreat + wellness," "summer retreat + rural life," "summer retreat + cuisine," and "summer retreat + culture," with the aim of transforming Yanling from a traditional sightseeing destination into a high-quality summer retreat and wellness destination.

A project launch ceremony for the film "The Sound of the Erhu Echoes Across the Wilderness" was held at the event venue. The film aims to further explore the cultural essence of rural areas, showcase local natural and cultural landscapes, and inject new content and momentum into the deep integration of culture and tourism. That evening, the "Mountain Breeze" Concert was staged simultaneously.

With the Yunshang Dayuan Scenic Area as the main venue, Yanling will cooperate with Shennong Valley National Forest Park and Zhongcun Yao Ethnic Township to organize a series of activities including the "Mountain Breeze" Concerts, gourmet food carnivals, yellow peach picking, forest wellness, starry sky camping, and rural sojourns.
