Hunan's integrated one-stop service for intellectual property (IPR) protection recently went online on the provincial government service platform. Enterprises and individuals can handle matters in four categories—IPR fund application, IP rights protection assistance, application for geographical indication marks, and IPR arbitration application. This service enables one-stop submission and interdepartmental coordination for IPR protection matters.

The one-stop IPR protection service is a key initiative of Hunan Province to implement the "Enterprise Service Year" campaign, optimize the business environment, and stimulate market innovation vitality. This service connects the entire chain of services, spanning IPR innovation support, brand utilization, IP rights protection assistance, and dispute resolution, providing the innovators with an efficient, cost-effective, and precise service process. This marks that Hunan has reached a new level in boosting innovations and strengthening IPR protection.

Since the one-stop service started operation, IPR protection matters have been uniformly streamlined into a single application form, a single set of submitted materials, and shared electronic licenses, maximizing convenience for innovators of all kinds, said He Ping, director of the Intellectual Property Protection Division of the Administration for Market Regulation of Hunan Province. Comprehensive service counters have been set up at the provincial, municipal, and county-level government service halls. Compared with before, the processing time has been shortened by an average of 45 days, with two on-site visits and three procedures reduced.

The one-stop IPR protection service has been included in Hunan's annual priority list for the "One-stop Government Service." Led by the Hunan Provincial Intellectual Property Administration and coordinated with departments including the Justice Department of Hunan Province, it represents a concrete practice of interdepartmental collaboration in IPR protection in the province.
