A delegation of consular corps and business communities in Hong Kong began a tour in Hunan on June 22. The tour was organized by the Commissioner's Office of China's Foreign Ministry in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

At the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Park, the delegation experienced firsthand the market vitality of Hunan's economic and trade cooperation with Africa. Several participants inquired in detail about local import and export trade with Africa, the implementation of cross-border cooperation projects, and the development of innovative service systems, gaining insight into Hunan's innovative practices in proactively connecting with overseas markets and deepening overseas economic and trade cooperation.

The delegation also visited the Hunan CRRC Intelligent Transport Technology Co., Ltd. In the corporate exhibition hall and intelligent production workshops, they closely observed achievements in intelligent transportation equipment and smart operation and maintenance systems, listening to detailed presentations on the company's breakthroughs in core technologies, industrial chain layout, scenario-based practices, and overseas market expansion, and learning about its breakthroughs in independent innovation, technological iteration, and intelligent manufacturing upgrades. The delegation members were deeply impressed by Changsha's complete high-end manufacturing industrial chain, solid industrial foundation, and burgeoning potential for scientific and technological innovation.

Several delegates noted that while the international community was more familiar with Hunan's cultural tourism offerings, this visit broadened their understanding of the region's industrial capabilities and scientific and technological innovation strengths. Leveraging its robust industrial base, Hunan has continued to focus on the high-end equipment and smart technology sectors, achieving a leapfrog transformation from traditional manufacturing to intelligent manufacturing, and demonstrating strong development momentum.

Tony Ho, director of the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, said in an interview that Hunan's tech innovation enterprises possess high-quality technological achievements and product systems. As an international financial and trade hub, Hong Kong has a global connection network that can link these enterprises to the international business ecosystem and overseas resources. The two regions can pursue coordinated development, build a two-way bridge for scientific and technological innovation achievements, and help Hunan's high-quality smart manufacturing technologies and high-end equipment products expand overseas markets.
