Thoroughly implementing President Xi Jinping's important instructions and directions on housing and urban-rural development, and earnestly carrying out the deployment and requirements of the Central Urban Work Conference, the expo is themed "Technology Empowers Intelligent Construction, Innovation Leads to a Better Life." It focuses on three core pillars—Intelligent Construction Empowers Smart Equipment; Intelligent Construction Empowers "Quality Homes"; and, Intelligent Construction Empowers Urban Renewal.

The expo features five major exhibition areas—smart equipment, building industrialization, intelligent construction, "quality homes," and urban renewal, with a total exhibition area exceeding 45,000 square meters, presenting a panoramic view of the achievements and future trends in domestic and international construction technology development.

Concentrating on "leveraging the exhibition to attract investment, boost industries, and revitalize the city," the three-day expo features a "1+2+N" activity matrix, specifically one thematic conference, two national-level key exchange events, and six thematic symposiums. It aims to establish a platform for achievement display, academic exchange, and government-business matchmaking, striving to become a nationally leading and internationally influential industry event.

This year's expo has also introduced an Intelligent Equipment Exhibition. Global top 50 construction machinery companies like SANY and Zoomlion are showcasing a range of intelligent and green construction equipment. Upstream and downstream partners such as the China Construction Fifth Engineering Bureau and the Hunan Construction Investment Group participate. Their participation fully demonstrates the entire industry chain ecosystem featuring "led by chain leaders and followed by supporting enterprises," further enhancing the influence of the "Built in Hunan" brand.

ICBIE is co-hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the CCPIT Hunan Sub-council, and the Changsha Municipal People's Government. Since its inception in 2016, it has been held for six sessions, attracting nearly 360,000 visits from 63 countries and regions globally, and becoming a calling card for the "Built in Hunan" brand. This year's expo has further broadened its global reach, attracting 74 government agencies, trade associations, and corporate representatives from 29 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates to participate, with an expected attendance of over 40,000 visits.

As a "Capital of Construction Machinery," Hunan has fully leveraged its industrial cluster advantages in recent years, integrating advanced manufacturing with modern construction industry as a pathway to continuously promote high-quality development of the intelligent construction industry. From January to May this year, Hunan's output value in building industrialization and intelligent construction sectors reached 157.93 billion CNY, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%. A development pattern featuring modular design, standardized components, large-scale production, scenario-based products, and ecological industries, is accelerating, providing strong support to meet the people's aspirations for a better life.
