The People's Government of Hunan Province and the China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) had a working meeting in Changsha at noon on November 8, 2023. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, and Wang Lixin, CRCC general manager and Party Committee deputy secretary, attended.

Vice Governor Qin Guowen and Secretary General Qu Hai joined the discussion.

On November 8, Hunan provincial government held a working meeting with CRCC in Changsha. Hunan Governor Mao and CRCC General Manager Wang were present.

CRCC is one of the world's most powerful and largest mega comprehensive construction groups. It has been shortlisted for Fortune Global 500 for 18 consecutive years, and was ranked 43rd in 2023. The group now has set up 26 subsidiaries at all levels across Hunan, including the China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited (CRCHI) and the China Railway Urban Construction Group Corporation Limited. There are 169 projects under construction, with a cumulative contract value of 149.4 billion yuan and nearly 30,000 employees. The CRCHI's 16.07-meter-diameter shield tunneling machine produced in Changsha boasts the largest diameter of its kind in China. The company has realized independent and manageable development and manufacturing of key components from the whole machine to the main bearings.

Governor Mao thanked CRCC for its long-term support to Hunan's economic and social development. He noted that Hunan and CRCC have maintained close and fruitful cooperation in the fields of equipment manufacturing, rail transit, shanty town renovation, and rural revitalization. Hunan is now accelerating its high-quality development in accordance with the beautiful blueprint of "Three Hubs and Four New Missions" Strategy drawn by President Xi Jinping, which provides a broad space for both sides to deepen collaboration.

He expected CRCC to further increase investment layout in and innovate cooperative mode with Hunan, further promoting partnership in such fields as scientific and technological innovation, comprehensive urban development, and infrastructure and logistics system construction, to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits. Hunan will continue to optimize the business environment, create sound conditions for CRCC's expansion in Hunan, and work together to create a new model of cooperation between the central enterprise and the local government.

General Manager Wang believed that Hunan has superior geographical conditions, developed modern transportation, strong industrial foundation, and sound business environment. CRCC will further advance the implementation of strategic cooperation agreements between both sides; give full play to the advantages of the whole industrial chain such as capital, technology, and operation; and, continue to tap into and serve Hunan. CRCC will deepen collaboration and communication with Hunan in pushing forward major infrastructure construction and urban renewal actions, to contribute to the high-quality development of Hunan, he added.
