Early on May 18 morning, a LQ967 flight of the Lanmei Airlines loaded with 612 kg of fresh Hunan crayfish departed from the Changsha Huanghua International Airport. It arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport, Cambodia, later that morning.

This was the first time that Hunan exported local aquatic products to Cambodia. Air transport became the first choice for crayfish export due to the advantages of Changsha airport's international air route network and high-efficiency operations. The Hunan Airport Logistics Co., Ltd. carried out a series of measures to ensure freshness and survival of the crayfish to the greatest extent. It customized a fresh product transportation plan; specified related procedures including freight space, package, delivery check, customs clearance, and refrigeration arrangement after inspection; and, opened a special green channel.

This freight route was resumed this year, with three flights operated regularly every week. Later on, it will increase the frequency of aquatic product export and diversify the types of products exported based on market feedback and demand. For instance, routine transportation of Hunan's local hairy crabs is on the schedule. It is estimated that the annual export volume via this route will hit 200 tons.

The Changsha airport has resumed several international passenger transport routes this year, including flights to Phnom Penh of Cambodia, Bangkok of Thailand, Seoul of South Korea, and London of the UK. The Hunan Airport Logistics Co., Ltd. has handled import and export of over 1,880 tons of aquatic products such as Boston lobsters and crabs. More and more aquatic products would be exported to all around the world through Hunan's airports.
